Martin de Torcy is a French sound engineer and sound designer based in Mexico since 2015.
He works across documentary and fiction films, ranging from independent auteur cinema to commercial productions (Netflix, Paramount, etc.). He has collaborated with acclaimed filmmakers such as Tatiana Huezo, Santiago and Mariana Arriaga, Carlos Saura, and Jean-Charles Hue.
Martin also collaborates on sound installations, designing tailored sonic experiences and overseeing the technical setup of each piece for artists such as Eric Meyenberg, Sandra Calvo, and Galia Eibenschutz.
He teaches sound in film schools and mentors emerging documentary projects.
Martin combines creative sensitivity with strong technical expertise. He owns high-end location sound equipment, runs a professional sound design studio, and provides tailored support at every stage of a project—from pre-production to final mix.
He works comfortably in French, Spanish, and English, and collaborates with international teams across a wide range of artistic and production contexts.
